Problems uploading images

Modified on Fri, 31 Jul at 10:44 AM

Possible causes and solutions

  • Problem: The image file is too large (maximum file size: 13 MB per file). If an upload takes too long, newhome will automatically cancel the upload process.

Solution: Reduce the size of your images to the minimum necessary. If needed, use an image compression tool.

  • Problem: The file path where the image is stored is too long. In rare cases, newhome may experience issues processing very long file paths.

Solution: If necessary, copy the image to a higher-level folder in your directory structure or to a USB drive before uploading.

    Example:

    Instead of:
    C:\daten\immobilien\appenzell\hauptgasse\stock1\bilder\bad.jpg
    use:
    C:\bilder\bad.jpg oder C:\bad.jpg

Always select your images using "Browse" rather than entering the file path manually, as manually typing the path is a common source of errors.

newhome only accepts images in the following formats:

  • .jpg
  • .jpeg
  • .gif
  • .png

If you still experience problems, please send an email with the corresponding error message to our Customer Care team. We'll be happy to help out.
